Alicia is a motivational speaker, author, experienced corporate manager, minister, community volunteer, and mentor. Words like destiny, treasure, success, determination and Quitting is Not an Option have become synonymous with Alicia T. Clinton. She has spent over twenty years encouraging others to maximize their potential and pursue their passions.
Alicia is a multi-talented speaker and teacher with a distinct gifting to connect and captivate her audiences. Her passion and positive energy have enabled her to affect hundreds of people in varying aspects of life from professional, social, leadership, relational, and spiritual development perspectives.
Alicia is happily married to the love of her life, Michael, and together they have a beautiful family of five adult children, two daughter-in-loves, and four of the most adorable grandbabies in the world.
As the visionary of the non-profit group, Destined for Success, Alicia has hosted many seminars, workshops, conferences, and educational sessions.
Alicia has held many professional leadership positions in corporate management including management, training and leadership roles that equipped her with skills that enable her to effectively facilitate leadership training sessions. This experience, along with her many personal triumphs, helped propel Alicia to new heights as a professional keynote speaker. Alicia has also been active for many years in her local community holding different leadership and educational roles. Determined to defy the odds, she turned her test of becoming a teenage mother into a testimony that has helped many find their own paths to success.
Earning a Master's of Human Resources Degree from Western Carolina University, with a 4.0 gpa, a Bachelor’s Degree and graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 gpa is a distinct honor that Alicia achieved at Winston-Salem State University with her studies in psychology. Both of these were examples of Alicia’s many personal stretch goals to be a trailblazer, paving a positive path for others to follow. She also has an Associate’s Degree in Banking & Finance. Alicia consistently promotes education as a key self-empowerment tool.
Alicia has honed her communication, public speaking and leadership skills by completing several communication and educational courses. She has obtained the Toastmasters International Competent Communicator and Competent Leadership awards. Alicia is an Award Winning Toastmasters “1st Place” Humorous Speech Contest Winner that knows how to appropriately interject humor to lighten up complex conversations.
